In December 1971, HRH The Princess Royal, paid a visit to HMS Dreadnought (Cdr Graham Rogers in Command) alongside in Faslane. She was given a tour of the submarine by Cdr Rogers, then left the boat to have a tour of the married quarters in Helensburgh and meet some of the wives and children at playschool.
